Fact Check: Is Sikandar remake of Sarkar?
However, right from the release of Sikandar's teaser, there has been speculation that the film might be a remake of Murugadoss's 2018 Tamil movie Sarkar which featured Vijay and Keerthy Suresh.;
Murgadoss created a sensation with Gajini. However later he bagged few flops and now he is all set with the film of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming film Sikandar. The film is generating significant excitement among fans and the film industry. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a key role while actress Kajal Aggarwal will make a special appearance.
However, right from the release of Sikandar's teaser, there has been speculation that the film might be a remake of Murugadoss's 2018 Tamil movie Sarkar which featured Vijay and Keerthy Suresh. These rumors disappointed many Salman Khan fans. But AR Murugadoss has put these speculations to rest.
In a recent interview, he confirmed that Sikandar is not a remake but an entirely new story written for Salman Khan. “Sikandar is a completely original story and every scene, every frame of Sikandar has been written and executed with authenticity. It's not a remake. It is also not an adaptation of any existing film,” Murugadoss said.
He added, “Important part of the film's originality is its adorable background score crafted by the immensely talented Santosh Narayanan. His music has perfectly complements the film's energetic tone and vibrant visuals”.
