Music Director Falsely Claimed Credit For Pushpa 2?

Despite its tremendous success at the box office, Pushpa 2 was one of the most controversial films in recent times. Right from the Sandhya theatre incident, which led to the arrest of Allu Arjun to the musical credits for the soundtrack which were claimed by Sam CS, the film was in the news all along.

At one point, Sam who was on boarded to compose BGM for the film climate that he had actually composed 90% of the soundtrack for the Allu Arjun film. He gave the implication that DSP had very little role to play in the background score of Pushpa 2.

But now this narrative is getting busted, thanks to social media. A week back, DSP shared the OST version of Pushpa, and it came with runtime of nearly 30 minutes. In this specifically released OST, we could primarily understand that it was DSP who scored the music for the important climax potion and several other bits in the film.

In competition to this, Sam released another OST version on YouTube, and this had a runtime of just 16 minutes. This quickly led to a discussion on the actual credits for the musical work of Pushpa 2.

If Sam really did compose 90% of the ST for the film, his soundtrack that was released on YouTube must be substantially bigger than the version released by DSP. But I said, turned out the version released by Sam is less than 50% of what DSP had shared. By this mechanism, it is clearly evident that it was DSP who did the major majority of the work for the film.

It is strange that Sam made such an all claim before the release, but when it comes to statistics, he is miles behind Devi Sri Prasad. From claiming 90% of the credit for the musical works for Pushpa 2, it turned out that he had less than 50% of the involvement of DSP.
