Kalki 2 Under Progress: Massive Set Getting Ready

Amidst many speculations that Prabhas might not kick-start this movie until he wraps Hanu Raghavpudi’s Fauzi, here comes a stunning update.

Superstar Prabhas’s Kalki 2, directed by Nag Ashwin, is moving faster than anyone could expect. The latest buzz is about a huge set being built on the outskirts of Hyderabad for a key interval sequence. Not just scale, but the set will also feature star power. Along with Prabhas, both Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan are expected to be part of this block. We’ve seen how interval blocks are being over-designed lately. If Kalki 2 is investing this much into one sequence, it clearly shows that the makers are going to give some visual high. They are about to create a moment that defines the film’s range and Prabhas’ star power. And with names like Prabhas, Amitabh, and Kamal in one frame, the expectation automatically shoots up.

There’s also talk that the sequel leans more into mythology, with references and arcs tied to ancient Mahabharatha timelines. Even a title like Karna 3102 BC is being discussed for the sequel, rather than Kalki 2. Speculations aside, Deepika Padukone is out of this highly-talked about sequel, while Disha Patani might do another small cameo again. Mrunal Thakur is currently being considered as the female lead.
