The director of Superstar Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin, who has earlier got busy with the sequel of the film, has suddenly sprung a surprise by bringing out a production venture. Teaming up with veteran filmmaker, 94-year-old Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao, he has brought the film “Sing Geetham” out the other day, which won rave reviews. As more shows are being added in some areas for the film, here’s what the film’s budget and profits are like.

Including the remunerations of everyone and the production costs, it’s coming out that Sing Geetham is made with a nearly ₹12 crore budget. The highest payment went to composer Devi Sri Prasad out of this, while the rest of the cast and crew are almost simply budgeted. Reports are coming out that Nag Ashwin sold out the film for around ₹14 crores to the OTT platform. And the audio as well as other rights also fetched another low price. That means the movie made table profits even before the release itself.

On the other hand, with the film getting good reviews, the occupancy on Saturday is pretty good, and surely Sunday will also be very good. As some new multiplex screens are being added for the movie, it’s likely to get better collections in the first weekend. Even if the whole collection amounts to another ₹5-8 crores in hand, that’s almost ₹10 crores profit, which is a good sign these days, because loss-making ventures often result in that money being lost.
