Tollywood's young hero Naga Chaitanya is currently acting in the movie Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, who recently won a National Award for Karthikeya 2. The movie is based on real-life events of fishermen from Uttarandhra, and it also highlights a beautiful love story. Bunny Vasu is producing the film on a massive budget under the banner of Geetha Arts 2, backed by renowned producer Allu Aravind.

The film stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, reuniting with Naga Chaitanya after their previous collaboration in Love Story. Currently, the makers are speeding up the shooting process, and the project is nearing completion. The promotional content released so far has generated a great buzz, making audiences eager for the film. Many believe that Thandel will be a hit.

However, the release date of Thandel has become a hot topic. Initially, it was rumored that the film would release on December 20 as a Christmas gift. Since Ram Charan’s Game Changer was postponed, many thought Thandel would take its place. In comparison, Ram Charan’s Game Changer, also set for a Pongal release, hasn't generated as much excitement. Furthermore, Balakrishna’s NBK 109 is set to release during Sankranti, and it’s expected to be a big draw for the festival.

However, recent rumors suggest the makers are considering releasing Thandel around Republic Day or Valentine’s Day.
