Why Is Vrushakarma Not Locking The Date?

Early in March this year, the first glimpse of “Vrushakarma” was out there, and everyone appreciated the teaser for the concept. Featuring Naga Chaitanya in the lead, fresh from the success of the “Thandel” movie, this film has Virupaksha fame Karthik Dandu directing it. Many thought that the film was hitting cinemas late Summer, but still now, there’s no clarity over the release date.

Apparently, many other movies have locked the dates, starting from July to December already, and that includes delayed movies and new films. With the likes of biggies occupying August and October, and November-December clouded by many other big-budgeted films, many are wondering why Vrushakarma hasn’t locked a date. Some reports are indicating that the OTT deal for the film is yet to be secured, hence the delay in announcing the release date.

Though the film is produced by SVCC and Sukumar Writings, the two banners that have good rapport with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, many are wondering why they haven’t secured the digital-streaming deal for the movie. On the other hand, the teaser was released almost five months ago, and further delaying it will surely dilute the film’s craze among the audience.

Also the film has full of Visual Effects, and these days VFX films getting delayed is the norm, and that might be another factor to look into for this Naga Chaitanya starrer.
