Naga Vamsi Missed Out The Hat-trick

Ace producer Naga Vamsi is always known for his promotional campaigns, as he himself gets into the hot seat and talks a lot about the movie in his own maverick style. That way, he got brutally trolled with War 2 last year, while he started on a good note with Anaganaga Oka Raju early this year. But Funky kicked him out of the game no matter what great things he said about the film.

But then, with Akhil’s Lenin, Naga Vamsi made sure that he scored the first and only blockbuster of the hero’s career so far. The film touched big numbers, and that was followed by Suriya’s Viswanath & Sons, which amassed more than ₹200 crores from the box office. That way, Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainment got back to back blockbuster and many thought that he would score a hat-trick with Epic, which is directed by 90s web series fame Aditya Haasan. Things didn’t work out, however.

As Epic turned out to be a massive disaster at the box office, the previous weekend, which happens to be an extended one due to the Monday holiday of Ganesh Chaturthi, hasn’t seen big numbers turning up for the film. That proves the fact that audiences have outright rejected the movie, no matter how many successes the producer will take up, and the theatre visits the lead pair Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Anand Devarakonda will do.

Well, Naga Vamsi had another film, “ViSa” in the pipeline, which was also shot abroad and deals with a similar story, this time, the base shifted to the USA, many are wondering if the producer will bring that on now.
