Nagabhandham: Rishabh Sawhney terrifies as Abdali

Director Abhishek Nama is set to redefine the mythological action genre with his upcoming Pan-India film, Nagabandham starring Virat Karrna. The project has garnered significant attention for the director’s uncompromising vision and his ability to present a magnum opus with such precision and artistic depth. As the film gears up for a grand summer release, the makers have released Rishabh Sawhney's first look, who features as infamous historical figure, Abdali.

 

Set in the year 1750, Nagabandham explores the dark conquests of the Afghan Sultan Abdali and his relentless pursuit of wealth and power. The first look of Rishabh Sawhney as Abdali is nothing short of terrifying, depicting a fierce warrior leading a massive army through a storm-lashed battlefield.

The inclusion of predatory wolves and green war flags in the poster highlights the ruthless nature of the character, who is depicted as a man willing to sacrifice anything to uncover the mythical secrets hidden in the Himalayas. Discussing his approach to the part, Rishabh noted, "I am honored to portray a character as challenging as Abdali. I aimed to reflect the complexities and motives of this historical figure while remaining true to the story's essence."

Featuring a stellar cast including Nabha Natesh, Iswarya Menon, as leading ladies and Jagapathi Babu, the film is backed by high-end production values and a dedicated technical crew. Abhishek Nama's mesmerising visual spectacle is bright to life by producers, Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy on a prestigious scale. The movie teaser is gearing up for release on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri.
