During a recent interaction, the producers explained why they were confident about investing such a massive amount in the film. They said that today's Generation Z audience is different from earlier generations. According to them, young viewers no longer watch movies just because of a big star. Instead, they are more interested in fresh stories, strong content, and good cinematic experiences.
The producers said that even if they had cast a top hero by paying a huge salary, it would have only guaranteed a strong opening at the box office for one or two days. After that, only the quality of the film would decide its success. They believe that if a movie connects emotionally with audiences, it can continue to perform well for several weeks.
Another interesting point they shared was about the OTT rights. Initially, many streaming platforms were not ready to buy the film because it featured a newcomer. However, everything changed after the teaser was released. The teaser received a positive response, and several OTT platforms reportedly started competing to acquire the digital rights. This increased the confidence of the makers even more.
Nagabandham, directed by Abhishek Nama, stars newcomer Virat Karrna in the lead role. The film is a mythological fantasy packed with action, visual effects, and devotional elements. The makers have promoted it as a grand theatrical experience with high production values.
