There is already clarity about the casting in Nagarjuna Akkineni’s 100th film, with Tabu and Aishwarya Rajesh playing key roles along with Kannada beauty Sushmitha Bhatt as well. A new update is now doing the rounds that the film will have a strong father-daughter thread, and that’s the core of the movie. Reports suggest that Kannada actress Sushmitha Bhatta might be seen as Nagarjuna’s daughter in the film. So naturally, the question is simple. How important will this character be in the overall story? In recent times, father-daughter relationships have played a strong emotional role in films like Hi Nanna, Bhagvanth Kesari, Saindhav, and others, where the bonding became a key driving factor. However, only a few of them actually worked at the box office. If Nagarjuna’s film is also built on similar emotional depth, sans commercial tone, then it would be tough to say how the film would work.
On the other hand, introducing a relatively fresh face in such a role brings novelty, but it also depends on how well the character is written. For now, this casting adds curiosity, though nothing was officially confirmed yet. However, if we look at the Made In Korea movie, surely the director has the potential to write very interesting emotional equations that work with a section of the audience.
