Buzz: Nagarjuna Advises A ‘Small’ Reshoot For Akhil’s Next

Young actor Akhil Akkineni needs a strong comeback film after the 2023 debacle “Agent” which got trolled even after its OTT debut recently. He has pinned strong hopes on the commercial action film Lenin, which is being carved out by director Murali Krishna Abburu (Nandu).

Fresh buzz around Lenin is popping up that Akhil’s father, Superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni, has recently watched the rushes of the film. He’s said to have suggested a short reshoot to fine-tune the project ahead of its release. Though the complete shoot got almost wrapped, the chatter in the film circles indicates that the makers might go to the floors for a little over a week, to do the reshoot.

Previously, Murali Krishna has directed Kiran Abbavaram’s Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnukatha, and Nagarjuna is said to be making sure that his Lenin with Akhil will not be an average farer. With a rural action drama setup that has the Rayalaseema backdrop, the film promises to be a mass action film for the Akkineni, who has been trying to prove himself for some time. Reshoots are not wrong, as long as the film benefits from that.

Apart from this, the female lead of Lenin has been a topic of discussion as well. Originally, Sreeleela was supposed to be the lead girl, and a teaser came out too. But somehow, she was replaced by Bhagyashri Borse later, and with Kaantha movie proving her acting potential, she will be the greatest addition now.
