What Happened To Nandamuri's 4th Gen Hero Film?

The Nandamuri family has already seen three generations of heroes dominate Telugu cinema. After NTR’s great legacy, it was followed by Balakrishna and Jr NTR, stretching into three generations. Naturally, when the fourth-generation entry was announced, it grabbed attention instantly. Back in 2024, director YVS Chowdary made a lot of noise introducing Harikrishna’s grandson and Janaki Ram’s son, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, aka NTR. So what happened to that film, two years later now?

By creating separate intro videos for hero and heroine, multiple press meets, big statements about showcasing Telugu culture to the world, YVS Chowdhary made a lot of strong statements, often throwing satires at one particular star hero from the same clan. While everything was planned on a grand scale, currently, there is no clarity on whether the film even went on floors. There are no shooting updates, and no idea about the stage of production. Not even a single hint about release plans at least. For almost a year now, this project has disappeared from the conversation.

As the young hero comes from the Nandamuri family, surely that backing alone ensures attention. Names like Kalyan Ram and Jr NTR would obviously keep an eye on how this launch shapes up. That is leading to speculations if the project is now cancelled. Though YVS Chowdhary has a reputation earlier for launching the likes of Ram Pothineni first and Sai Dharam Tej later, buzz is coming that maybe Kalyanram and Jr NTR might have felt that his vision is not enough to do magic and launch the fourth-gen Nandamuri hero now.
