'Votes Do Not Come Only From Box Office Success'

Natural Star Nani has spoken about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Thalapathy Vijay’s political journey. Nani made these comments while interacting with Tamil media in Chennai during the promotions of his upcoming movie The Paradise.
Nani was asked about Vijay’s entry into politics and his journey from being a popular actor to becoming a political leader. He said that Vijay’s popularity as a movie star alone cannot explain his political success.
Nani said that people do not vote for a person simply because their films earn huge amounts at the box office. He explained that Vijay has built a strong connection with the people of Tamil Nadu over many years.
"Cinema success or box office collections alone cannot make someone the Chief Minister. I don't believe Vijay sir became Chief Minister only because of his film success. The trust that the people of Tamil Nadu have placed in him is something very special," Nani said.
The actor also spoke about the long relationship between Vijay and his fans. According to Nani, Vijay has been a familiar face in Tamil households for several decades. This long connection helped him build a strong bond with the public.
"It is not something that happened in one day or because of one film. For decades, Vijay sir has been part of people's lives like someone from their own home. That connection and the huge trust people have in him have brought him to this position. The success given by the people of Tamil Nadu is a very big achievement," Nani said.
Nani also said that he had watched some clips of Vijay's political activities and Assembly appearances on television and social media.
"I have seen some Assembly clips on television and social media. Vijay sir is doing very well in the position of Chief Minister," Nani said.
Vijay entered politics by starting the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). His political journey has attracted considerable attention in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, Nani is busy promoting The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 24. Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar and Raghav Juyal are among the important cast members.
