'The' Sentiment Worrying 'Paradise' Lovers
Well, sentiments are quite common in the film industry, and a film runs not on these sentiments but only on the merit of the content inside.
There are films like Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’, Vijay Devarkonda’s ‘The Family Star’, and Vijay’s ‘The Goat’. All of these movies not only flopped miserably at the box office, but also carry the prefix “The” in front of the title. That has now sprung into a big sentiment that is bothering fans of hero Nani, whose next film is titled ‘The Paradise’.
Well, sentiments are quite common in the film industry, and a film runs not on these sentiments but only on the merit of the content inside. Even films like “Pushpa” are called “Pushpa: The Rise” and “Pushpa: The Rule”, and despite having the word ‘the’ somewhere in the title, the films worked. So, it’s up to what director Srikanth Odela has carved out in the first place, and how Nani has pulled it off, which actually makes the movie work, not the sentiments.
That said, Nani’s The Paradise is enjoying superior attention at the Telugu box office, as the teaser got tremendous applause, while the two songs that have been released so far, Aaya Sher and Yeshanagula, are getting superior love from the Telugu audience. Anyway, we have to see what happens to his ‘the’ sentiment with ‘paradise’ at the box office.
