Generally, the Telugu audience are very receptive of quality films that arrive during the Sankranti season as they generally tend to return a lot of theatrical revenues. Better is not the case with a newly released Telugu film Nari Nari Naduma Murari.
Despite receiving super hit talk from audiences, Naari Naari Naduma Murari is struggling to translate that appreciation into strong box office numbers. Viewers who have managed to watch the film are coming out with very positive feedback, calling it one of the best films among the recent releases. Word of mouth is clearly working in the movie’s favor. However, the real problem lies elsewhere.
The biggest issue is the lack of adequate shows in theatres. Even in key cities like Rajahmundry, the film is barely visible. While movies like Anaganaga Oka Raju are running in around ten theatres with multiple shows, Naari Naari Naduma Murari is not even getting proper screens in five theatres.
This imbalance is directly affecting its collections. When audiences are willing to watch a film but cannot find shows, the impact on revenue is inevitable.
Interestingly, the talk for Naari Naari Naduma Murari is stronger than most of its competitors, including Anaganaga Oka Raju, which itself has decent feedback and better theatre allocation.
Another factor being discussed is promotions. The film did not see aggressive promotions in the initial phase. Had Sharwa and the team gone all out with publicity from the start, the situation might have been different.
With good content and strong audience response, the film clearly had the potential for much bigger numbers. Many believe that if it had released at a different time, without heavy competition and with proper show allocation, crossing 100 crore would have been an easy task.
