Why Didn't Shivaji Get Stopped On Stage? Navdeep Explains

The words of actor Shivaji said from the stage of the “Dhandoraa” movie pre-release stage have turned into a major controversy in no time. However, the team of Dhandoora is bombarded with questions related to Shivaji whenever they meet anyone. It’s no different when actors Navdeep, Bindhu Madhavi, and the film’s director met some students the other day.

Some asked about Navdeep’s silence on stage on that day rather than condemning Shivaji’s words. Speaking to students, Navdeep explained why he didn’t stop Shivaji from making those remarks on stage, while he was visibly upset that day with the senior actor’s words.

“A person like Shivaji has been speaking on public platforms for 30 years, so he should know what’s right or wrong. None can really stop someone like that, except listening to that perspective, and agreeing or disagreeing with that,” said Navdeep, also adding that he got shocked first, and failed to react because of that shocker.

Also, Navdeep shed some light on the thought process that goes through during such situations. “It’s easy to say that Navdeep (or any other actor on that stage) hasn’t reacted or done anything, but frankly speaking, we can introspect about certain comments we heard or said only after some time, and then can react. But reacting on the spot might not happen,” he further added.
