Naveen Polishetty Should Change Gears From Now

One of the most unexpected bangers came from Naveen Polishetty this year, as he opened his Sankranthi 2026 account with great success like Anaganaga Oka Raju. The film’s amazing comedy, which is most of the time created by Naveen himself, has resulted in the film clocking ₹90 crores gross already.

While Naveen’s films are doing well, the problem is that most of his movies, like Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, and now Anaganaga Oka Raju, have become his one-man show kind of flicks. That won’t give any hero longevity because films should work like a collective effort of many characters, which will only make them remain as timeless classics.

Film analysts are advising that Naveen should work with other talented writers and directors, rather than writing dialogues and screenplays most of the time himself. Also, with him being that actor who would be involved, other talented writer-directors might feel a bit scared to join hands with him. Only if Naveen leaves it to directors like Nani, he would consolidate his market big time, they say.

Perhaps these writing issues are delaying his movies too, as Anaganaga Oka Raju was started almost 3 years ago, with director Kalyan Shankar walking out of it, and then a new director, Maari, taking it up. Hope Naveen changes gears from now on.
