In 2020, Nayan played the role of the goddess in 'Mookutty Amman' and it was dubbed in Telugu as 'Ammoru Thalli'. RJ Balaji played the lead and directed it as well. It was released directly on OTT due to the lockdown period and Ajay Ghosh played the villain role in it. The film got a very good response and the production company planned to make a sequel to it but it didn't materialize till date.
'Ammoru Thalli 2' is finally happening according to the report and Nayanthara will be the goddess once again. Apparently, the director will be changed in this film and what's interesting is that RJ Balaji who made 'Ammoru Thalli' is directing 'Masani Amman' with Trisha Krishnan as the goddess. Both these films are going to be filmed at the same time. We all know that Trisha and Nayanthara are two of the senior-most heroines in South India right now.
They have a huge following and both of them take huge remunerations. Now, it will be interesting to see both of them as goddesses in different films. They are going to be comparisons for use and the audience are going to enjoy these flicks in theatres. We need to see who emerges as a winner in this unique clash. Nayanthara has 5-6 projects in her hand while Trisha is busy too with films like 'Vishwambhara', Ajith's film and 'Thug Life'. Let us see what happens in the coming days.
