The Telugu film industry has many big stars who enjoy huge fan followings. Some actors come from film families while others build their careers without strong support. In the present generation many young heroes are trying to make their own place in Tollywood. However some of them are now talking about negative campaigns against their films and careers.
Nani, Vijay Deverakonda and Kiran Abbavaram are among the actors who have faced criticism and online negativity at different stages of their careers. There have also been discussions about negative reviews and social media campaigns surrounding Nani's film The Paradise and also Sandeep Kishan himself recently talked about being targeted.
This raises an important question. Are some people deliberately trying to damage the careers of young heroes? If organised negative campaigns really exist then who is behind them? Who is spending money to spread negative opinions and what do they gain from doing so?
The Telugu film industry is highly competitive. Every hero wants to score a hit and every producer wants their film to reach a wider audience. In such an environment it is possible for rival groups or individuals to try to influence public opinion. Social media has also made it easy to spread both positive and negative comments within a short time.
However there is another side to this issue. Not every negative review is part of a paid campaign. Audiences may genuinely dislike a film because of its story, screenplay, performances or direction. Critics also have the freedom to express their opinions. A film receiving poor reviews does not automatically mean someone is trying to destroy its hero.
Sometimes actors and their fans may feel that a film is being targeted when the actual reason is a mixed audience response. At the same time genuine concerns about organised online attacks should not be ignored.
The real question is how to identify the difference between honest criticism and a planned campaign. Clear evidence is needed before blaming any individual or group.
Tier-2 heroes work hard to build their careers. They deserve a fair chance to prove their talent. But the industry also needs to accept honest criticism.
But for sure the audience will decide whether the movie is a hit or flop. However if negativity is going in extreme on movies and if a movie instead of at least average is called as totally negative that could affect a hero's career . But definitely a super hit film can't be registered as a flop due to social media campaigns as nowadays mouth talk is important. Whatever the reason is of, time will decide all tier 2 heroes careers.
