Nidhhi Aggerwal Incident: Cases Lodged, AI To Identify Perpetrators?

Hyderabad’s shocking mobbing incident, involving heroine Nidhhi Aggerwal, has now moved beyond social media outrage, with police taking a suo motu action. After her videos from Lulu Mall, Kukatpally, where the actress was surrounded by an unruly crowd pushing and jostling her, many wondered if these attendees were vultures in human disguise.

After attending Raja Saab’s Sahana song launch event, Nidhhi tried to get out of the mall and reach her car, but by that time, an uncontrollable mob surrounded her, trying to touch her inappropriately. As the situation might have gotten out of control easily, the police registered cases against the mall owners and event organisers as well. The case wouldn’t just end here.

An unconfirmed report is doing the rounds that the police will take the help of technology, including the use of AI, to identify the individuals who behaved indecently during the incident. From the videos available on the internet related to Nidhhi’s incident, and from the mall’s CCTV footage, it is possible to match and identify the perpetrators. The incident also highlights the need for more measures for the safety of celebrities at fan events.

So far, neither Nidhhi Aggerwal nor the Raja Saab makers have issued any official statement regarding the incident. But the police are taking up the case, and a statement might be put out soon.
