A Joke That Hit Niharika Konidela Really Hard

While promoting a film more on their shoulders rather than the cast, crew, and many other definitely many producers, these days they are facing criticism that they're taking away the space that was supposed to be occupied by the actors. From Sitara Entertainment's dynamic producer, Naga Vamsi, to a newcomer producer like Vamsi Nandipati, this criticism is not new. Latest to join the list is mega daughter, Niharika Konidela, whose latest production venture, Rakasa, is hitting Cinemas on April 3, 2026.

Apparently, at the pre-release event of “Rakasa” the other day, comedian Getup Sreenu jokingly said about what the inner feelings of heroine Nayan Sarika would be. He jokingly said that Nayan Sarika would be feeling the lack of space in promotional events. “I’m not even getting space in promotions, because every college event, every press-meet, every TV show, and even Instagram reels featuring Niharika Konidela more, not me,” said Getup Sreenu, saying that it would be the inner voice of Nayan Sarika. While everyone laughed fully, Niharika was surprised and a bit shaken by the joke. Insiders revealed that Niharika got shaken a bit with the joke, as she felt like she was always promoting the film, but not taking space away from others.

Other than that, ever since Getup Seenu revealed this issue quite openly, many people on social media are also feeling that Niharika should take a step back and give a chance to her heroine Nayan Sarika and her director Manasa Sharma when It comes to holding the Spotlight.
