Nikhil Says No Artificial Intelligence was used in Swayambhu

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha has once again become a hot topic on social media after his recent post on X (formerly Twitter). His comment, made while sharing the re-uploaded teaser of his upcoming film Swayambhu, has sparked mixed reactions and intense discussion among netizens.

The teaser of Swayambhu was released on YouTube. While many viewers praised the visuals and scale, some also pointed out issues with video quality. Later, due to a technical glitch during the digital upload, the teaser did not appear in its intended form. To fix this issue, the team re-uploaded the teaser in restored HDR quality.

Sharing this update, Nikhil wrote in a light-hearted tone, asking why such glitches happen and requesting fans to watch the newly uploaded version. However, what drew major attention was his added line stating that no Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in Swayambhu.

This statement quickly turned controversial. Many social media users started guessing which film or films Nikhil was referring to. Some fans felt he was indirectly targeting big-budget VFX-heavy movies.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Nikhil has spoken about AI. During the Swayambhu teaser launch event, he clearly said that AI was not used in the film. He also expressed his opinion that AI may not suit large-scale period action films made for the big screen. According to him, traditional VFX and real effort give better results for such stories.

Swayambhu is a high-budget period action film directed by Bharath Krishnamachari. The story focuses on a village youth who slowly transforms into a powerful warrior.
