Buzz: Nikhil To Lock Horns With Devarakonda

One of the most delayed films in recent times, which is on the verge of postponement when it comes to its release, is none other than Nikhil’s Swayambhu. Riding high on the success of Karthikeya 2, the hero came up with this Magadheera-like epic film, whose release date was announced a couple of times but postponed again.

The latest update is that Nikhil wants to jump into the Dasara race by locking October 15th as the release date. Already, another period film, Vijay Devarakonda’s Ranabali also locked the Dasara date only, as Mythri Movie Makers has recently announced that they are hitting cinemas on the 16th. All these days, with Superstar Rajnikanth’s Jailer 2 locking the 15th, many thought that the Telugu slot would be locked by Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and hence no other movie announced their dates for Dasara.

Now that Vijay Deverakonda and Nikhil, both coming up with similar films, are on Dasara eve, some are thinking that even Naga Vamsi might push their #AK47 to Dasara, as that will be the only family film in the race at the Telugu box office. However, that call will be taken only after Jailer 2 jumps out of the race. Because Jailer 2 itself is a big competition, even at the Telugu box office, for all the films that are hitting cinemas.
