Vakkantham Vamsi is one of the most prominent story writers in Tollywood. He penned the stories for many of Surender Reddy's movies like 'Athanokkade', 'Ashok', 'Kick', 'Kick 2', 'Race Gurram', 'Ooseravelli', 'Athidi', 'Agent' and others. He even wrote the story of 'Temper' which proved to be a game-changer for NTR. After providing stories for many films, he turned into a director with 'Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India'.

Getting Allu Arjun as a hero for a debut film is a dream come true for many. But Vakkantham Vamsi failed to score a hit even though the concept of the movie was good. He took a long break after this film and prepared the script of 'Extra Ordinary Man'. Nithiin is the hero of this film and it is going to arrive in December. Talking about giving a chance to Vakkantham Vamsi even after delivering a flop, Nithiin has this to say.

He stated, “Trolls are common if a movie doesn't perform. As a writer, Vamsi proved himself with Kick, Race Gurram, and Temper. Though films like Oosaravelli didn't perform, the way he pens the hero's characterization is pretty good. The fun part will be solid in his films. As a writer, he never failed. His first film as a director didn't meet the expectations. One movie can't decide a person's fate.”

Nithin further added, “I had a string of flops once. It doesn't mean I don't know acting. Ishq was a turning point for me. Vakkantham Vamsi has now got his second chance. I never doubted his skills, and he deserves a second chance. He badly needs success as a director, and he took extreme care for Extra Ordinary Man.” Sreeleela is the heroine while Rajasekhar plays a key role in this movie. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer and the trailer got a decent response.
