No Effect Of 'Jailer' On 'Lal Salaam'!
But 'Lal Salaam' arrived this weekend and there is zero buzz on the movie. It is quite shocking even though Rajni is not the hero of the movie.
When a huge blockbuster arrives, the hero's next film will be in huge demand. The rates will get increased immensely and we see it happen for every hero. Post 'Geetha Govindham', Vijay Deverakonda's market spiked up drastically. Every producer wanted to work with Vaisshnav Tej after 'Uppena'. Imagine the craze for a Rajnikanth film especially after 'Jailer'. His craze went down a lot over the past few years but 'Jailer' breathed new life to it and proved to everyone what a Rajni film can do at the box office.
But 'Lal Salaam' arrived this weekend and there is zero buzz on the movie. It is quite shocking even though Rajni is not the hero of the movie. He plays a strong role named Moideen Bhai in this movie which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya. Usually, the buzz has to be high and the expectations have to be huge. But even the Tamil audience are not showing any interest in the movie. There are no 9 AM shows in Tamil Nadu itself which showcases the situation.
Imagine the state of this film in Telugu. The lack of hype over this film despite the success of 'Jailer' is mainly due to poor planning. It is not a mass title and many thought that it is a serious subject that deals with a certain ideology. Also, Rajni's role is not relatable to everyone and the director did not give a clarity on whether the movie is about cricket or about the village in the trailer. The audience have to be prepared enough for such movies. This proves that even a Rajni's film needs proper promotions and publicity.
