NTR Was Right Or Wrong To Reject Peddi?

After the historic blockbuster of his debut film, Uppena, young director Buchi Babu immediately went to junior NTR for his upcoming film. He worked out a sports drama, subject with NTR, and despite the early excitement, Nandamuri Hero letter backed out as he did not deem the project fit.

Incidentally, this was when Buchi took the subject to Charan and convinced him to be a part of this project. The idea that was originally not appreciated by junior. NTR was later appreciated by Ram Charan.

This is not a new or strange thing in the Telugu film industry as we have historically seen scripts that were narrated to one Hero and rejected, subsequently , go to some other Hero and become a historical blockbuster. In fact, even the mighty global sensation Pushpa was rejected by Mahesh Babu when it went to Allu Arjun.

In this context, the latest updates are suggesting that Charan had ready, picked up the script that was originally prepared for NTR.

Now that the opening glimpse video of this Peddi is out, there are lot of discussions on the same. At the fundamental level, it is being said that Director Buchi succeeded in creating the right aesthetics for the film and got the right commercial rugged look for Charan. He has showcase his commercial skills with this glimpse.

However, the most important thing here is that Buchi must handle a star like Charan efficiently and deliver a proper commercial winning film with Peddi. Only based on the theatrical returns of this film, can we decide if NTR was right or wrong to reject this film in the first place.
