Jr NTR is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Devara Part 1. At the trailer launch event held in Mumbai, the actor shared his excitement and nervousness about his first solo movie in six years after the massive success of RRR. He mentioned how blessed he feels, attributing the presale success of the film to God’s blessings, and the love from his fans and audience. He said, “It's been six years since I’ve had a solo release after RRR. I am a bit tense but eagerly waiting for the release of Devara. The love and support from fans and the audience have been overwhelming.”
Speaking about the movie’s journey, NTR said, “Devara started even before RRR. Director Koratala Siva narrated the idea to me, and I was immediately drawn to it. The visuals are amazing, and I can promise you that the last 40 minutes of the movie will blow you away.”
He also opened up about the challenges faced during filming, especially the underwater sequences. “We shot underwater for 38 days and spent 60 more days filming above water. It was physically demanding. Solomon, who worked on RRR, coordinated these scenes to ensure they matched global standards.”
One shot, in particular, stood out for NTR. “I had to ride a shark in one sequence, and I have to say, I hated it! It took a whole day to get it right. We were shooting in a 200x150 tank, which was five and a half feet deep. It was exhausting, but I think the audience will love it when they see it on screen.”
He also praised his co-stars, saying, “This movie is special because it brings Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan into the Telugu industry. I’m sure their performances will leave a mark.”
Looking forward to the release, NTR concluded, “I can't wait for everyone to witness the director’s vision. The last 40 minutes will definitely rock you.”
The film, directed by Koratala Siva, has been designed as a high-octane action drama. Jr NTR plays dual roles in the movie, portraying both a father and son. Devara Part 1 is set to hit theaters on September 27, with high expectations for its action-packed sequences and gripping storyline.
