What looked like a promising style venture is now drawing online fire. Label Nobo, started by Nupur Sanon and promoted by her sister Kriti Sanon, is facing backlash over its pricing. Outfits on the site range from ₹7,000 to ₹26,500, and many social media users are questioning whether the designs justify the cost.

The brand, launched in 2024, promotes itself as using high-quality fabrics and offering unique fashion under the name “No Boundaries.” But critics aren’t convinced. A Banarasi lehenga listed at ₹21,000 and a basic skirt-top combo at ₹20,000 have sparked comments accusing the brand of being overpriced. One Reddit user said it felt like a fast-fashion scam with a celebrity label.

Much of the frustration online centers around how ordinary the designs appear for the high price. Users compared the clothing to pieces found in local markets for a fraction of the cost. Comments ranged from “Rs 750 last price” jokes to full-on rants saying better options are available in Jaipur or Rajouri.

Nupur Sanon, known from her hit music video Filhall and her role in Pop Kaun?, has expanded into fashion after making a mark in entertainment. But as the backlash grows, many believe the brand will need more than star support to win over fashion-conscious shoppers looking for value and authenticity.
