What Are The Entries For Oscars From India? Any Telugu Film?

With Rajamouli bringing the first ever Oscar to India in any main category of the Academy awards through 'RRR', the interest of the Indian audience towards the Oscars list increased a lot. As we know, 'Naatu Naatu' from 'RRR' won the Best Original Song award at the Oscars. The Film Federation sends an official entry every year and no Telugu film found a place till date.
They are considering a bunch of films this year too and 3 Telugu films are in contention. Prabhas' fantasy drama 'Kalki 2898 AD' is one film while Payal Rajput's 'Mangalavaaram' was mentioned in the list too which surprised everyone. The third film was 'Hanu-Man' which is a superhero flick that worked wonderfully at the box office. People are keen to see if any of these three would be picked to represent India.
The Film Federation will be announcing its decision today and the Oscars will be held on 2nd March 2025. The other films in contention are 'Thangalan', Vaazhai', 'Maharaja', 'Kottukkali', 'Jamaa' and 'Jigarthanda 2' from Tamil, 'Swaragandharva Sudir Pahadke', 'Ghath' and 'Gharat Ganapati' from Maharashtra' and the Hindi films include, 'Kill', 'Sam Bhadur', 'Article 370', 'Goodluck', 'Joram', 'Animal', 'Shrikanth', 'Veer Savarkar', 'Laapaata Ladies', 'Chandu Champion' and others.
