Generally, the makers of superstar films prefer to have U/A certificate for their films. This is to make sure that the family audience can happily come to theatres and watch the film along with their kids. But in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s OG, the exact opposite happened.

The film was given Adult certificate by the board, and this essentially meant that kids were not allowed to watch the film in theatres. This was not what was expected by the makers, nor was an ideal solution.

However, with no other option, left the makers anyway, had to go ahead with this release plan. However, thanks to the early momentum that the film could generate at the ticket counters, it has now set a unique record.

According to the latest development, it is being established that OG is the sixth Indian film to touch the ₹300 crore mark with an A certificate. Regardless of the action part in the film, it could generate substantial revenues at the box office, and this is largely thanks to the pull of Pawan Kalyan.

As we had mentioned already, Pawan Kalyan badly needed a comeback film like OG to revive his sustainable at the ticket counters, and he did it in grand style as this film touch the 300 crore mark.

OG is now one of the original action films to have actually performed well at the box office, despite the limitations that were set by the censor board. Even Pawan Kalyan himself gained a lot of confidence after this film, as he appears to be more in his element.
