Sujith's Mafia Film Finds New Producer! Big Shift!
However, just like chairs changing owners in the middle of the game, this project has now found a new home.
Just like a game of musical chairs, the film industry often sees projects shifting hands, and the latest film from director Sujith is no exception. Sujith, who is currently helming the much-anticipated *OG* movie with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, initially had plans to team up again with DVV Danayya for a new venture. The film was to star Nani, with whom Sujith had already discussed a collaboration. However, just like chairs changing owners in the middle of the game, this project has now found a new home.
As *OG* nears completion, with only a few scenes left to shoot, and Nani busy with *Hit 3*, the originally planned film with Sujith and Danayya was left hanging in limbo. The mafia-backdrop action flick, which had garnered attention, could not progress as expected. Instead of shelving the idea completely, the project has now been handed over to another prominent producer, Venkat Boyanapalli, known for delivering the hit *Shyam Singha Roy*.
Venkat Boyanapalli’s entry into this project is a strategic move, as he is also keen on working with Nani, whose star power has been on a consistent rise. Interestingly, this film was initially considered under the Sitara company’s banner, but due to reasons unknown, it did not pan out. Venkat, eager to produce yet another impactful film with a solid team, stepped in, ensuring that Nani and Sujith’s action-packed mafia story would still see the light of day.
When asked about this sudden shift, a source close to the production shared, "It’s all about timing and vision. Danayya had his reasons, but Venkat’s passion for the project was undeniable. Sujith and Nani's collaboration is bound to create magic on screen, no matter whose banner it’s under."
