“India Changed Me Completely”: Anna Konidela

She shared a snowy throwback picture and wrote a long note about growing up in cold weather, silence, music halls, museums, and long winters. Anna said Saint Petersburg is not just a city for her but a part of her soul and memories.

In her caption, Anna wrote, “I’m a child of the north.” She explained how she was born in Saint Petersburg and grew up with rain, cold winds, books, classical music, and quiet life. According to her, those memories still live inside her heart even today.

Anna also said that moving to India completely changed her life. She wrote that India gave her love, family, memories, and another home. She mentioned how India welcomed her with warmth, spices, loud streets, and emotional people.

At the same time, Anna admitted that she still misses Russia deeply during some nights. She said living abroad for decades makes a person feel connected to two places at once, but fully belonging to neither.

She further explained that Saint Petersburg still remains inside her through her love for rain, silence, cold weather, and classical music.
