Decks Cleared For Peddi Nizam Hike: Deets Inside

The final hurdle before Peddi bookings appears to have been almost cleared in the state of Telangana.

The final hurdle before Peddi bookings appears to have been almost cleared in the state of Telangana. Until today, there have been various discussions, because some exhibitors even wrote letters to the Telangana Government, asking them not to give a hike for the Ram Charan starrer. However, some developments have amused everyone now.

According to industry sources, all formalities related to the Telangana ticket price hike have been completed. The only thing pending now is the official Government Order (GO) copy. Once the GO is issued, advance bookings are expected to go live immediately across major ticketing platforms. The proposed hike has now been formally confirmed. Multiplex ticket prices are expected to go up by ₹150, while single-screen theatres are likely to get a ₹100 increase.

However, the timing of the bookings now depends entirely on when the GO arrives. Trade circles suggest that bookings may not start before 4 PM or 5 PM unless the government issues the order earlier. If the GO gets delayed further, the producer and distributors will have to take a call on whether to wait or proceed with the pre-agreed non-hike rates. Interestingly, Mythri is reportedly prepared for both scenarios.

The production house is said to be ready to open bookings even at normal ticket prices under the previously agreed NRA structure if the situation demands. For fans, however, the bigger takeaway is that the ticket hike issue is no longer a roadblock. The buzz on social media suggests that many premium shows could sell out within minutes once bookings begin.

Also another update is that the war between Mythri Movie Makers and Prasads Multiplex also got sorted out, and they are likely to open bookings of Peddi by Tuesday evening.
