Usually, offers fade out for heroines who have ditched Tollywood, but 35-year-old Pooja Hegde still finds takers in Telugu cinema;
When she made her Telugu commercial debut with her second Telugu movie, DJ Duvvada Jagannadham, for that bikini-clad entry and other glamorous looks, Pooja Hegde became an instant blockbuster in the hearts of Telugu youths. That was a decade ago, and recently, with multiple exits from movies like Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Guntur Kaaram, the heroine is not getting many Telugu films to her kitty.
Finally, after a long wait, it looks like director Sreenu Vaitla has decided to bring another fading starlet to his project, like how he brought Ileana D’Cruz with Raviteja’s Amar Akbar Antony years ago. Reports are coming that Pooja Hegde is almost confirmed as the leading lady for the director’s upcoming film that features Sharwanand as the main lead, which is reportedly being titled “George Krish”. This pairing will be new, as the film deals with a time-travel concept revolving around the female lead.
Usually, offers fade out for heroines who have ditched Tollywood, but 35-year-old Pooja Hegde still finds takers in Telugu cinema, who are running after her. Now that the actress does not have many big films in her kitty, surely the success of this Sreenu Vaitla directorial is going to put her on the map again, at par with actresses like Shruti Haasan, Mrunal Thakur, and others.
