Dusky Siren Roses Back Strong: From None To Four Films In Hand

Once considered a golden leg in Telugu films, there was a time not too long ago when dusky siren Pooja Hegde’s Telugu career almost came to a standstill.

After being dropped from big-ticket entertainers like Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and later from Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagath Singh, the actress was virtually written off. With those exits, Telugu dried out, and her career took a hit. Not anymore.

Instead of panicking at that time, Pooja chose to wait out patiently. She shifted focus to Tamil cinema, doing films like Suriya’s Retro. And then, the much hyped Monica Bellucci song from Rajnikanth’s Coolie brought her into the spotlight, thanks to the amazing success of it.

She is now part of Tamil projects like Kanchana 4 and Vijay’s final film before his political journey, Jana Nayagan. In Telugu, she has Dulquer Salman’s upcoming project, #DQ41, produced by SLV Cinemas and Ravi Nelakudithi.

On the Bollywood front, she has movies like Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Tho Ishq Hona Hai, which also has Mrunal Thakur as another lead.

From being sidelined to suddenly holding multiple projects, Pooja Hegde’s comeback story is something that proves that patience and smart choices matter. Wish she scores well from now on.
