Mahesh Babu's 2024 Sankranthi release, "Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram Srinivas, had a decent box office run despite falling short of expectations for a Mahesh Babu film. Though the film ultimately starred Sreeleela as the female lead, recently surfaced pictures have fans wondering what could have been.

These viral images depict Pooja Hegde during her brief stint filming for "Guntur Kaaram" before her departure from the project. One picture even shows Pooja alongside Sreeleela and Mahesh Babu, sparking discussions about how the film might have played out with Pooja in the lead role.

Pooja's exit wasn't due to any creative differences or conflicts. Producer Naga Vamsi clarified that a simple scheduling issue caused the change. The film's initial August 2023 release was pushed to January 2024, a date clashing with Pooja's commitments to another Hindi film. Unable to adjust her schedule, Pooja made the difficult decision to step down.

Naga Vamsi further stated, "There was a lot of unnecessary noise about this decision. We initially planned for an August release, but later changed it to January. Pooja had other commitments that couldn't be adjusted, so we had to replace her."

The rescheduling led to Sreeleela's promotion to the lead role, while Meenakshi Choudhary took over Sreeleela's original supporting role.

While "Guntur Kaaram" found success with Sreeleela, the unearthed pictures leave fans pondering the alternate reality of the film with Pooja Hegde at the helm.
