Prabhas Puts New Films on Hold
Reports suggest that Prabhas wants to complete Fauji, Spirit, and Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 before taking up any fresh collaborations.
Pan-India star Prabhas is one of the busiest actors in Indian cinema today. He already has a strong lineup of big-budget films, and according to the latest industry buzz, he is not expected to sign any new movies until his current projects move into the final stages.
Reports suggest that Prabhas wants to complete Fauji, Spirit, and Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 before taking up any fresh collaborations. The plan is said to be to release all three films before the first quarter of 2028. However, there has been no official confirmation from Prabhas or his team about this schedule.
Among his upcoming films, Fauji is expected to arrive first. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the movie is set during the 1940s and is said to combine patriotism, romance, action, and emotional drama. Fans are excited to see Prabhas in a completely different role and look.
The next major project is Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film has already created huge expectations because it brings together one of India's biggest stars and one of the country's most successful directors. Prabhas will reportedly play a powerful police officer, while Triptii Dimri has been announced as the female lead. The film is currently scheduled for release on March 5, 2027.
Another highly awaited film is Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. The first film became a massive worldwide success and impressed audiences with its mix of mythology and futuristic storytelling. The sequel is expected to continue the epic story on a much larger scale. While the release date has not been officially announced, industry reports suggest it could arrive in late 2027.
There is also strong talk about Salaar Part 2, but the makers have not revealed a production schedule yet. Because of these massive commitments, Prabhas is reportedly avoiding new projects for now.
Trade experts believe that if Fauji, Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, and Salaar Part 2 perform well at the box office, the combined business of these films could reach nearly ₹5,000 crore. This shows the huge market and popularity Prabhas enjoys across India and overseas.
For now, Prabhas is fully focused on completing his existing films. His fans are eagerly waiting to see these grand projects on the big screen over the next two years.
