Tipped to be the costliest visual effects film, Superstar Prabhas’ latest movie “Raja Saab”, directed by Maruthi, was released to huge expectations on Jan 9th. While the mixed talk has initially shaken fans and moviegoers alike, it looks like the movie is slowly steadying up at the box office. At least, the numbers say so.
After raking up a mighty ₹112 crores gross from the worldwide box office on Day 1, Raja Saab has proven the star power of Prabhas when it comes to pulling numbers no matter what the talk is. This happened with his previous film Salaar too. And then, in its three days of run, until Sunday, Raja Saab posted ₹183 crores gross from the worldwide box office, as per the numbers released by the producers.
Going by this speed, it looks like Raja Saab’s per-day collections are likely to get steady at around ₹20-25 crores gross. As the whole of Telugu states are slipping into the Sankranthi holidays mode from Tuesday, the film might get similar numbers for another good week of time. That means, collecting ₹300-400 crores gross would surely be an easy task for the movie.
Irrespective of the talk, if Prabhas’ films are managing to touch the ₹500 crores mark, that too from the Indian market most of the time, surely, who else is India’s biggest superstar than him?
