Massive: Netflix Acquires Prabhas’ Spirit OTT Rights

The craze surrounding Superstar Prabhas and his films is quite amazing, we have to say, if the talk around OTT rights of his upcoming film “Spirit” is taken into consideration. Directed by Arjun Reddy and Animal movie fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this film is produced by T-Series, and even before a glimpse came out, the film’s digital streaming deal got locked.

Reports are coming that Netflix has already given a massive advance to the makers of “Spirit,” which features Prabhas and Tripti Dimri in the leads. With Sandeep Reddy’s previous films doing extremely well at the box office, and Prabhas’ craze is massive in the northern circuits as well, Netflix is said to have paid an astronomical sum to grab the rights.

A talk in OTT circles is that big players like Netflix, Hotstar, and Amazon Prime Video are competing with each other to acquire the rights of Prabhas’ other films like Fauji, Kalki 2898 AD 2, and Salaar 2 rights as well, though the shootings of these movies are not completed. Some of the films haven’t even started their shoot yet.

It looks like the failure of ‘The Raja Saab’ hasn’t affected Prabhas’ brand value and image in any way.
