Why So Many Punjabi Actors In Spirit? Explained!

Despite the scorching sun and quite unfavourable conditions for film shooting, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is making sure that his ongoing film, which has Prabahs in the lead, titled “Spirit” will be shot without breaks. He has most of the film’s interesting cast, including the likes of Prabhas, Tripti Dimri and Vivek Oberoi taking part in the shoot. Here comes an update that the film will feature a lot of Punjabi actors.

Apparently, Sandeep Reddy’s roping in of Punjabi actors confirms that he’s continuing the sentiment. Whether in the Arjun Reddy remake, Kabir Khan, or Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, the director has given a nice Punjabi backdrop to the movies. As they worked big time, maybe he might have given a similar touch here, too. However, some say that the film deals with liquor and drugs mafia, and the roping in of Punjabi actors confirms that he’s taking the film to the drug corridors of India, which is mostly Punjab, and hence the arrival of Punjabi actors onboard, to get the looks and slang authentic.

On the other hand, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is targeting the March 27th, 2027 release of the movie without any changes. Though it has earlier come out that the film will be pushed to a December 2027 release, the director’s team clarified that there will be no such change in release date, and the film is very much on track for release. However, Prabhas’ other film Fauzi hasn’t given clarity about the release, as that movie is also getting ready at a faster pace. If that release in 2026 itself, that will be a dual release for Prabhas in the same year after a very long gap.
