Actress Pragathi, who has made her mark with films like Gangothri to many, is a very popular character artist in Telugu cinema. However, he has been to weight lifting for some time, and even scored medals at the Asian Games held for the 50+ age category.

A few days ago, however, Pragathi shared a message saying that she would “die on a cinema set,” which honestly left many fans confused and sparked various rumours. At a time when she won medals and her film career was also going well, what was needed to make such a comment became the talk of the town. In the wake of those comments, Pragathi has now come forward to explain what she actually meant.

In a fresh statement, Pragathi said that she never quit films for powerlifting or wrestling. The popular actress, who has also represented India in wrestling and won medals for the country, explained, “I never said I’m leaving cinema. I’m a reasonably good actress and would continue to do my job. That’s my bread and butter too,” she clarified. I’ve said that “I will die on a film set” because it was an emotional way of expressing how connected Pragathi feels to acting and the film world.

On the other hand, there are those who say that Pragathi hasn’t got enough appreciation regarding her weightlifting achievements from the film quarters, despite a few small heroes and directors sharing congratulatory messages.
