Actress Pragathi Responds to Venu Swamy’s Claims on Powerlifting Medals

With the likes of Rashmika Mandanna and Nidhie Aggarwal bagging some big films after they got some homams performed under controversial astrologer Venu Swamy’s tutelage, the astrologer keeps saying the same for all of his clients. As recently as actress Pragathi also performed similar pujas, Venu Swamy claimed that it’s the fruits of the homams he did that she won gold medals in powerlifting.

Venu Swamy stated that Pragathi visited him, asking for remedial poojas to do well in her acting career and also in the powerlifting sport, and as a result, today she has won four medals. He has also shared pictures of Pragathi performing the homam and taking blessings from him. But then, Pragathi is not in the mood to accept Venu Swamy’s comments, and she gave a powerful retort.

Reacting to the same, Pragathi said, “I’ve done those pujas almost a year ago and haven’t seen much results. Only for the hard work I’ve done, today these medals are a testimony to that. But Venu Sway popularising photos from almost a year back is something I leave to his conscience. She further added, “If our time is bad, not only these astrological things, we believe in a lot of stupid other things too”.

Well, while the detractors of Venu Swamy will surely feel happy with Pragathi’s comments, surely saying that everyone will believe in things like astrology when they are in a bad time might not go well with certain sections of society. Pragathi’s response has brought clarity to a story that was rapidly blowing up online, but curtains up a new controversy also.
