In fact, versatile actor Prakash Raj always has a different perspective on anything that would otherwise be normal for the normal audience.
That’s what makes him special, and in the name of #JustAsking, he usually posts a lot of controversial stuff on social media too. The actor has now shot an arrow at the Hindi film industry this time.
Speaking at the Kerala Literature Festival, Prakash Raj made some stunning comments on the current status of Bollywood. Praising that Tamil and Malayalam filmmakers have still more stories to narrate, but Hindi films have exhausted themselves after slipping into the Page 3 culture.
“Currently, Hindi movies are like Madame Tussauds’ wax statues; they look beautiful, but still there’s no life inside. With the multiplex culture popping up, their film industry started making cute films and things like that. They went into the Page 3 culture and lost touch with rural Rajasthan and Bihar,” he explained.
But many are wondering why Prakash Raj is not hailing Bollywood movies like Lapataa Ladies, Homebound, 12th Fail and other films, that are centered around rural North India and worked big time.
