Talking about 'Nenu Local', he stated, “Initially, the story of Nani's Nenu Local was different
Successful writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is looking to become a director soon. His major hits came when he collaborated with director Trinadh Rao Nakkina. They gave hits like 'Cinema Choopistha Mawa', 'Nenu Local', 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame' and 'Dhamaka'. Barring Ravi Teja's film, the rest of the three hits have a similar story according to a lot of people.
During a recent interview, he talked about how he ended up writing those films. Prasanna said, “Initially, I penned a different version for Cinema Chupistha Mava. We wanted to make it as an adult film. However, Avika Gor didn't agree to do those adult scenes as she earned a good image through Balika Vadhu. So, I modified the film's script, which later became a huge success.”
Talking about 'Nenu Local', he stated, “Initially, the story of Nani's Nenu Local was different. We thought of making the film as a triangular love story in which two guys genuinely love the female lead. After completing a few days of shoot, the team told me they wanted a film like Cinema Chupistha Mava. So, it was changed from a triangular love story to a hero-villain story.”
He went on to add, “Later, I wanted to make a film with a social cause. A hero called me and said films like Nenu Local and Cinema Chupistha Mawa would suit him best. He asked me to pen a story similar to those two films. I told him that I was fed up with that story. But that hero supported me during my initial days in the industry, and hence, I agreed to be part of it, but as a ghostwriter.”
He further explains, “I told Dil Raju Garu that the same story was used for two films, but I gave him the narration with the modified version. Dil Raju Garu said that those two films are different from this story and added that this film has a new element, which is friendship. I didn't want that movie to happen, but it wasn't in my hands. My team told me that no one scored three blockbusters with the same story.”
Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has penned the screenplay and dialogues for 'Das Ka Dhamki' and Nag's last outing 'Naa Saami Ranga' as well. He is working on a few other upcoming projects as well.
