Pre-Independence Era Backdrop Fixed For Prasanth Varma's Next!

Young and talented director Prasanth Varma stunned everyone with his taking in 'Hanu-Man'. His movies like 'Awe!', 'Zombie Reddy' and 'Kalki' showed his caliber even before 'Hanu-Man'. His superhero flick minted more than 300 crores and became a phenomenal success. Prasanth made sure that he tried something different than the rest. While 'Jai Hanuman' is in the scripting stage, he is working on 'Octopus' with Anupama Parameswaran as of now.

Apart from these two, he is all set to join hands with Bollywood hero Ranveer Singh for a period drama. Sources say that the story is going to have a pre-independence backdrop. The movie is rumored to have 'Rakshas' as the title and Ranveer's character is going to be the biggest highlight of the movie.

The official pooja ceremony will happen soon and the pre-production works are reportedly going on for 'Rakshas' already. As we know, Ranveer Singh is currently in 'Don 3' under Farhan Akhtar's direction and he is also a part of 'Singham Again'.

As per reports, 'Octopus' will arrive in theatres before 'Jai Hanuman'. Knowing Prasanth Varma's filmography, 'Octopus' is also expected to have a unique story and interesting narration. Apparently, a few big names have already approached Prasanth Varma about collaborating with them. Let us see how the movie with Ranveer Singh turns out.
