Prasanth Varma Asks Why Should They Back Out!
The makers earlier said May but the delay in post-production works forced the team to postpone the release
Talented director Prasanth Varma has a lot of clarity when it comes to why his movie 'Hanu-Man' should not be backing out of the Sankranti race. Many say that this superhero flick should make way for other big releases because the collections of 'Hanu-Man' will be severely affected by it. In fact, 'Hanu-Man' team announced six months back that they will be releasing the film on 12th January.
The makers earlier said May but the delay in post-production works forced the team to postpone the release. With the makers finding the Sankranti season as the best option, they locked the release. Of all the Pongal releases, 'Hanu-Man' is the only film that is releasing on a pan-Indian level in nine languages. The business of this film is done already and the promotions in the North market have already cost over 5 crores. The posters and cutouts were sent to all parts of the country and the people are talking about the film after the trailer dropped.
There is no chance of backing down as it is not just about investment now. It is about the business that has been completed already. Prasanth Varma shared about the suggestion given by Dil Raju. Apparently, the star producer asked him to release the film on either the 19th or on Republic weekend or in the first week of February. He claimed that any of these dates will bring more revenue. But Prasanth Varma claims that it is not about ego or prestige. It is helplessness as it is no longer in his hands. He is hopeful that at least 3 films do well during the Sankranti season. The explanation by Prasanth Varma is quite logical as per a lot of people's opinion and we will be seeing a fight between five movies in the second week of January.
