Varanasi Actor Ignoring Telugu Promotions, Why?

Many are wondering why Prithviraj is not exploring the Telugu market that has opened big time now, rather than waiting until Varanasi’s release and bringing something here.

If one actor gets cast in an SS Rajamouli film, surely they will use that to their advantage. During the release and the times around “RRR”, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt made sure to use the movie to her advantage. At every promotion of her films, she spoke about them. At the same time, male actors who are part of Baahubali, like Satyaraju and others, released their non-Telugu films here and promoted them here to use Rajamouli’s movie craze aggressively.

Cut to Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, who has carved a name for himself with films like Lucifer, The Goat Life and others, is an admired star here, but his films never ran well at the Telugu box office. And now, he’s cast as the main villain opposite Mahesh Babu in the upcoming Varanasi that’s spearheaded by SS Rajamouli. However, the actor is not using that fame to his advantage. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Nobody is hitting cinemas on July 9th (Thursday), and still the actor hasn’t even given any interviews to Telugu media or promoted the film here.

Many are wondering why Prithviraj is not exploring the Telugu market that has opened big time now, rather than waiting until Varanasi’s release and bringing something here. However, many other Malayalam stars like Tovino Thomas and others are also having their films released here, but they do just one media meet, and that’s all. Looks like Malayalam stars are not running after the Telugu Box Office like their Tamil counterparts do.
