Can Priyadarshi Score Big Once Again?

There has been a two week gap after 'Kalki 2898 AD' got released. The majority of the audience have watched the movie in theatres. With the ticket prizes returning to normal, the audience watched the film in theatres during the second week too. On 12th July, 'Indian 2' is getting released on a grand note.

The makers are promoting it heavily through special events and press meets. Shankar, Kamal Haasan and Siddharth along with Rakul were in Hyderabad for a few days and promoted the film a lot and it generated a good buzz on the movie. The movie may not get a huge opening but the collections may grow once the talk comes out.

However, it is not a regular commercial movie as it focuses on society and delivers a strong message. Everything will be decided this Friday. Next week, we will see the release of Priyadarshi's 'Darling'. Nabha Natesh is the heroine and it is the only film releasing on 19th July. The movie is about a couple where the husband is very planned while the wife is a traveler and also has a split personality.

The trailer generated a positive vibe on the movie. Considering 'Indian 2' as a dubbing film, 'Darling' is the only Telugu release after 'Kalki 2898 AD'. If it manages to get a positive talk, it will reach breakeven very easily. Since 'Hanu-Man' producer bankrolled the film, the distributors are welcoming too. 'Kalki' will not be the same during the third week of its release and this might lead up to 'Darling' getting more theatres. There are no notable releases at the end of July as well. Let us see how the movie turns out as it can enjoy a great run if it gets a good talk.
