In the age of extensive PR acts, where stars don’t even acknowledge their flop films, but continue to believe and make everyone believe that those movies are a piece of art, there arrives another top starlet, to boldly address failures. Star heroine Priyanka Chopra, who would be seen in Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s Varanasi very soon, has other day attended while speaking at the Bridge Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
PeeCee, as she is fondly called by her admirers, has admitted that a film journey would never be in the hands of an actor. “I’ve done six films in a year, and all of them tanked. Immediately, the film I was supposed to do landed in the lap of someone else. At that time, I’ve pivoted to Hollywood, it’s not about choice, but actually survival,” she pointed out. Adding that being a successful actor will cut down the privilege of attending family events, milestones, and many more, Priyanka added that her career is built on sacrifices. “Refusing the work to attend a family event isn’t an option,” she emphasised.
Apart from featuring in Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Varanasi”, Priyanka Chopra would be next seen in Hollywood movies like The Bluff and Judgement Day. Recently, she came up with the English film Heads of State, though the film didn’t click big time in India. On the other hand, it’s appreciative to see an Indian actress doing well in Hollywood, and playing American roles unlike.
