'Pedha Kapu' Producer Compares Addala With Vetrimaaran!!
Interestingly, Ravinder Reddy compared Srikanth Addala with highly acclaimed Tamil director Vetrimaaran who is known for his realistic movies that deal with issues in society.
Miryala Ravinder Reddy has made a name for himself by producing two films of Boyapati Sreenu. While 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' was an average venture, 'Akhanda' turned out to be a blockbuster. He is known for his rich production values and he gives more importance to the story than the stars. It is the reason why he made 'Pedha Kapu' after a film like 'Akhanda'.
This rustic rural political drama is hitting the screens on 29th September and he had an interaction with the media ahead of the film's release. Interestingly, Ravinder Reddy compared Srikanth Addala with highly acclaimed Tamil director Vetrimaaran who is known for his realistic movies that deal with issues in society.
He said, "Peddha Kapu 1 is a realistic film. We have made the film with utmost honesty. We have depicted history in the way it has to be presented. We shot in real locations to reflect the situations in 1980. We used to travel for 2 hours daily from Rajahmundry and shot scenes in realistic locations. What Vetrimaaran is to Tamil Cinema, Srikanth Addala is for Telugu cinema."
He added, "Every story will have a fight between the strong and the weak. Peddha Kapu 1 is a realistic film. Srikanth Addala penned hard-hitting dialogues in Peddha Kapu 1. While watching the film, one would feel that a common man has to go through a lot of challenges to succeed in life."
Being compared to Vetrimaaran is a huge compliment. Let us wait and see if Addala justifies it or not.
